On the go lunch ideas

What’s everyone feeding their babies when out and about? We tend to be out around lunch time and I struggle to think of what to pack her other than puree and bits of chicken?😂

Pancakes Muffins Bread sticks and cream cheese Cream cheese sandwiches or any filling for sandwiches Tuna pasta These are just some of the things I take out for lunch 😊

I use the baby led weaning app and there’s some really lovely lunch ideas on there! Today we’ve got a cheesy tomato lunch slice and some pancakes and berries packed for lunch xx

Cream cheese sandwiches have always been my go to when I know we’ll be out as they aren’t too messy!

We tried a cheese sandwich for the first time yesterday and she ate it so so well! I went a bit extra and cut it out with a star cookie cutter but I think that actually helped a bit as it was smaller bits round the edges rather than shoving it all in 🤣

What cream cheese is everyone using for sandwiches??

@Tamara i use tescos coconut alternative cream cheese as my little girl has CMPA

Peanut butter sandwiches Cheese scones Homemade sausage rolls or pinwheels Baby puff crisps Mini breadsticks Cucumber sticks Yoghurt pouches Fruit Oat bars

@Sophie omg I didn’t even know that existed! Thank you! I was quite sad I couldn’t give my baby cream cheese too

@Diana you’re very welcome! If you struggle finding it, it’s not where the normal cream cheese is. It’s in the plant based section 😊

@Sophie perfect, thank you!

I just give her a bit of whatever I have and order an extra couple sides which we share. I'll sometimes pack some fruit (easy peelers are good as if they don't get used then they're still fine, or a precut fruit pot from a supermarket) and a banana/ abc muffin or pancake too. We've not been in a situation really where there's not something she can eat, plus I can always do milk to fill her up still but I'll pack a sandwich or something too if we went somewhere with no food.

I make my baby 'baby pizzas'. Just greek yoghurt and flour to make the dough, rolled out with a little tomato puree spread thinly on and a bit of grated cheese on top. Put in the air fryer for a few mins. They are delicious.

Sainsbury’s sell little pre-made mini muffins that are all good ingredients. We have them for on the go or if I’ve not got time to make something before we leave. X
