How many of you co sleep?

I’ve read “baby sleeps though the night” - but baby is often in the parents bed and not in their own cot or room?

I'm co sleeping on the sofa at the moment. My little girl is refusing to settle without me at the moment due to teeth coming in

I co sleep and little one still doesn't sleep through the night 🤦🏻‍♀️

We started co sleeping when baby was 6m old and haven't been able to transition back to cot yet 😪 she does however sleep through the night.

I cosleep and will be only transitioning back after 1.4. It’s what my baby needs to settle easier back to sleep at night and I think it’s a very natural thing to do.

My daughter starts off in her cot and about 1 to 3 hours later wakes up and I just haven't got the energy to stay up for hours trying to get her back in the cot when she falls asleep and stays asleep in bed with me. I have no issue with it although I'm in laws keep trying to push for us to keep her in her cot. That's a whole other issue

Stopped co sleeping at 8 months (into cot in own room) and he started sleeping a lot better but it took a few weeks. He’s just starting to sleep through the night for most nights of the week finally at 10 months old 🙌🏻

Thank you. I see it as misleading you see when I read baby sleeps through - as they are sleeping through with a parent beside them. So some babies need milk / some rocking - so a sleep association to sleep. I wonder how many April babies need none of that and just sleep.

Mine used to just sleep without rocking or feeds. But lately we are going through a sleep regression so requires some rocking.

My boy wakes multiple times a night whether hes in his cot or co sleeping, he will settle back in his cot each time until 2am/3am then we have no choice to co sleep if any of us want to get any sleep

Mine sleeps only in her cot since birth. She has slept through the night pretty consistently since a couple of months old. But sometimes she wakes because she can’t find her dummy, and then there’s teething and sickness too and the odd night of who knows 😅

Don’t co sleep never have. Baby doesn’t sleep through and we’ve had regressions but can’t do it. Some people are happy with having baby sleep with them and toddler sleep with them but it’s not for me. Baby is in her own cot in own room and gets up twice in night now. I know she will sleep through eventually. Only exception is if she wakes up super early like 5:30 then I’ll put her in with me for an extra couple of hours but then she will wake up 7:30 on the dot like she does in her cot

Mines in a cot next to my bed and doesnt sleep through, means i can lean in and feed her without having to get up countless times a night

I tried it one night when she wouldn’t settle 😅 but she thought it was play time and still didn’t sleep so not done it again

My boy has a bottle and then goes sleep in his own room himself about 7.30ish till about 6.30

We’ve never done co sleeping. We all need our own space me as much as her. She wouldn’t co sleep even if I tried she wants to be on her own. Slowly but surely starting to sleep thru the night now x

@Helen I am in the exact same boat, with all of it! 😂💜

Thank you ladies 🩵

I'm co-sleeping and pretty much always have as she hasn't liked any sleep thing I've put her in but in all honesty I definitely don't think that baby sleeps through the night because they are in with you. Every baby is different but my LO is 10 months now and she still wakes in the night!

I never co sleeped and she slept through the night since she was 3 months . First just 6/7hrs now 10/12. She is in her room. Occasionally, when teething she wakes up and we cuddle her/rock her back to sleep.

The past couple months my little girl has gotten to where as soon as she gets put in her cot she wakes up and cries hysterically, but if I put her in the bed with me and my husband she sleeps so much better, she will wake a couple times to feed but will go back to sleep. We both don’t really mind right now, I see it as she won’t be small forever and when she gets old enough and wants to sleep in her own room and bed I’ll probably miss it

I've never co slept and she's slept through (apart from a month at 4 month regression) since 3 months. Her sleeps have just increased in lenght so she now sleeps 9pm until 8am x

We have been o sleeping since about 2-3 months. We are 10 now. Not sleeping through the night but doing long stretches and if he wakes up I don’t have to fully get up etc. most of the time is a boob in his mouth and he is back asleep in minutes …
