Peak!

My first time using ovulation tests…I feel so giddy seeing a peak! Is day 18 normal? I’d say I have a very normal 28 day cycle…what can I do to try and extend my luteal phase? X

I ovulate between 16-19 so I’d say that’s normal, and I have a short 13 day luteal phase. Doesn’t stop me getting pregnant though! I don’t think extending the luteal phase is possible unless your on the pill, which I’m assuming would defeat the object 😅

That’s so interesting - thanks for the info!! 🤗

Heyy, I had a 10 day luteal phase and was really worried, my 1st was a happy accident first month on the pill and 2ndwas 4th cycle currently 20 weeks pregnant- apparently in isolation it doesn’t affect fertility too much xx

Thanks so much 🫶🏼 that’s really reassuring

Day 18 peak on a 28 day cycle is quite late actually. Because ovulation usually happens 12-36 hours later. So your luteal phase will be around 8-10 days, anything less than 10 is considered short. You might find your period starts a bit later this cycle though.

Thanks Amy, it’ll be interesting to see if my period is delayed. I was also unwell at the start of this cycle so I wonder if that’s had an impact. X
