Well done for making the first step of reaching out. It’s really hard when you’re in it, I can completely relate and my little girl is 13 months now and I still struggle. Definitely see what help you can get, are you based in the uk? I spoke to my health visitor about it and she referred me to an emotional support health visitor who would come round and offer that extra emotional support. I’ve also spoken to gps and I’m currently doing some therapy as well. People may have different opinions but I also went on anti depressants and honestly found it life changing. Just helped my thinking be a little more rational! I also found that with time things felt a little easier. Are your partner/family supportive? Have you opened up to them about it? I still find it really hard to leave her but I found that baby steps were best, I’d leave her with my husband and pop to the shop 5 mins away, then I would take the dog out and be gone a little longer. Please message me if you’d like, sending love 🫶🏻
Talk to your doctor about it. Postpartum.net is also a great resource to look into!
I can totally relate! I’m 9 months postpartum and just now starting to be able to leave my baby with my partner or parents for short periods of time. If you can I’d recommend a therapist and speaking with your doctor.
Oh gosh!! I feel you girl! I felt the same way minus the partner thing I actually had my thyroid checked and found out I had postpartum thyroiditis that's over active and can cause anxiety!
