Girl, it happens and she will be ok!! Just monitor her symptoms for vommitting, having a hard time waking up, unusual responsiveness, etc. I took my baby to the ER twice because I made the same mistake, I didn’t even know he could crawl, but he ended crawling from one side to the other and fell off (that’s also how I learned he could crawl lol) His sitter also did while I was at work and he was fine, he just had a little bump for a few days🥺. I know it hurts to know they may have been in pain, but babies usually are okay with hard falls.. just be more careful mama ❤️ maybe don’t leave baby on the bed when you do something, even just for a second, I had to end up doing that lol
Check their head and check their eyes and don’t let them sleep for as long as possible
Just keep your eye on them
I felt like this the first time my son fell off the bed, he’s almost 11ms now and I’ve watched him dive off the bed on purpose more times than I can count😭 it’s okay momma I promise. I learned a rule that said : if they fall from anything twice their height or taller than they need to go to the hospital other than that they are more than likely fine and probably just shocked. I always do a touch test around his head and neck to see if anything makes him quince just in case
It's happened enough times with me too. I swear I'm always watching and he chooses the times when I look away for 2 seconds to throw himself off somewhere 😂. When it happens again, just keep an eye out for - If she doesn't stop crying after like 10 mins, is bleeding, skull feels different, red vessels in the eyes, excess tiredness, vomitting, etc. Before freaking out completely and comfort her. This sounds bad but this will NOT be the last time she falls off something or just falls I general as she gets more mobile
@Rilee one of those things you never think is gonna happen to you and then it does 😭 thank you for the reassurance
@Brea thank you for the advice! I’m literally going to check her every two hours tonight. She’s really in pretty good spirits despite everything. I’m just heartbroken. I know she took that huge lunge forward to try and get to me and she was so scared when it happened 😭😭😭 but as her doctor said too, accidents happen and it was just an accident. I’ll be sure to do better moving forward
@Keironna that is a great rule of thumb! It was definitely less than her height and onto carpet too thank god. I was such a mess but luckily our peds Dr was able to get her in right away and we didn’t have to foot a hospital bill. Apparently these little babies are more durable than one might think haha
@Holly 100%tbh you cry and have a panic attack everytime buttt just remind yourself it happens you probably fell off the bed too you never know ❤️
@Jayliz that’s what our doctor said too. She was like “holly, this is the first time and certainly won’t be the last” I hope I’m more calm next time. But ugh I swear I saw her neck snap but of course it didn’t. Hello nightmares for ever
I’ve been there, my boy fell from his changing table when he was younger. The way he cried had me thinking he broke something. Thank God he was fine, but that shook me I cried for hours
@Amanda it’s so scary! Full on panic attack I couldn’t even breathe it seemed
We’ve already taken a fall off the couch head first and a giant Pokemon to the head which left a massive bruise 😩
It's terrifying, but also very normal. It's going to be okay, I promise. I honestly think that falling off the bed is an unofficial milestone. So much so that my 9mo still tries to crawl off the bed. However, this time, it's intentional.

It happened to my daughter twice. I was sleeping and her dad was changing her and she rolled off the bed and hit her head and the second time my aunt was babysitting she was 8 months and crawling really fast it's a game she likes to play on the bed like catch me. And she crawled too quick and fell off again on my way home from work! It happens in the blink of an eye. But both times she was okay!
Haha just happened to me a few weeks ago. He was crawling around and sat up on the edge and fell straight back! He cried for like 20 minutes. I felt sooo bad 🥲
Is going to happen again so relax she is ok you still a good mom it isn’t something you did on purpose
I hate to say it but This happend to me a few times. Mom guilt is real but stay calm and just love them or distract them
