My husband wants to join the army I'm so scared not about the army but about the distance and growing apart. He is a good man I know I'm too be supportive of him but I can't help to be selfish I don't want him gone for a month or years. Only because it will affect me and our daugther greatly. Any advice mom or wife that is going thru this .

Try to tell him to look into the US COASTGUARD instead. The boot camp is only 8 weeks and he never gets deployed to a whole other country. He only stays on US soil.
