Toddler’s curly hair

My daughter was really slow growing her hair in and it still is slow. Me and my bf were both slow hair growers when babies too. We both had curly hair, mine more than his. It appears that my daughter is taking after my hair which doesn’t surprise me lol. She also has a habit of twirling the swirl at the back of her head around and around with her finger for comfort. She’s done this since she was 8 months. But now her hair is so curly, all it is doing is knotting her hair. I can’t do anything if she uses it for comfort but the other day I nearly had to cut it, she had gotten it so tangled. But I persisted gently with a comb and got it out. My worry is she’s going to have super curly hair when it grows out and deal with lots of knots like I do. Is there anything I can use to prevent it from tangling so bad? Any recommendations or suggestions would be massively appreciated. I know there are products out there but I don’t exactly know what I’m looking for or what actually gets the job done.

Our friends little on kept playing with their hair for comfort and kept pulling out bits until they had a bald patch. They gave him a barbie as comfort object so he played with the hair on that and it worked perfectly

My daughters is the same, I use Childs farm conditioning hair spray xx

i use the whole curl range from child’s farm, it’s really good 🤍

My baby had the same tangle curly knots at the back when his curls came in, I think a silk baby bed sheet, detangling spray is excellent and a small detangler comb, using conditioner at bath time like daily or every other day and combing in the bath. I think at one point I had to lightly trim the back where the knots were the most and that helped too. I can't remember which products I use I think it might be Nalas or my little coco spray in Boots
