What contraception are you on?! Good AND bad stories please

I’m not looking to get pregnant for another year or so and been on the copper coil for about 3 months. Ive been having two periods a week and yesterday I’d had enough and got it removed. I’ve pretty much every different form of contraptions now but still none the wiser which is best! PLEASE CAN YOU ALL TELL ME WHAT YOURE ON AND IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT AND WHAT YOUR PERIODS ARE LIKE? Thank you xxxx

Depo provera injection, lasts 12 weeks, no periods, no side effects. Very happy with it. Was on it before 1st pregnancy then back on after and didn't struggle to become pregnant again 3yrs later.

I've tried the implant, depo injection and 2 different types of the pill and they all made me bleed constantly 😩

I had a horrible experience with the copper coil, extremely painful cramps and bled heavily for like 6 months when I finally begged them to take it out. I’ve had the arm implant twice and it was great! First time was Implanon and my only side effect for three years was no period (🙌). Second time was Nexplanon, still had a normal period but no other side effects. We’ve now had our second and I haven’t gone back on anything yet this time but think it might be hubby’s turn ✂️

Had a mirena coil in four about a year now. I had Jaydess in my 20's (smaller than mirena) and it caused lots of bleeding/cramping, but mirena after birth has been fine as my uterus is a little more roomy. Bleeding is very light but completely unpredictable, can happen once every 2-6weeks for maybe an hour.

I have the merina iud however that’s spelled. Sometimes it takes a while for your period to regulate. Sometimes 3-6 months. So for your other one it could have almost regulated. But ive had this twice. Both times have been great. And the other times i’ve been on the mini pill and a low estrogen one. All have been great. When I was on normal combo pills with a lot of estrogen. I gain a butt ton of weight

I was using the avoiding my husband method because I literally hate every form of contraception. That was working pretty well alongside tracking my fertility and just avoiding peak days but he said 'Once won’t hurt' on a day that was supposed to be fertile and here I am 22 weeks pregnant 🙃😂 x

I was on the mini pill for few years before stopping it to have my son and went straight back on it at my 8 week review after having him. Never had any bleeding or other problems. I suffered terribly with periods so its been a game changer for me and never tried anything else

Period tracker and condoms. We love it because we are not messing with my hormones. I manage the period tracker and my husband manages the condoms situation. Been doing this for 6 years and it works a dream.
