@Laura you can buy the base to go with it but you don’t have to- can be installed with a seatbelt too
If your literally only using it very occasionally I would just get the joie every stages as it’s fairly cheap x

Just a normal seat belt fitted infant carrier. Pixel pro is good but pricey. Maxi Cosi Cabriofix is cheaper. Avionaut Cosmo also good and cheaper than pixel

@Laura no don’t bother with a base it’s an unnecessary extra expense and it’s just as quick to belt them in when you get used to it! X
@Laura just use the seat belt. You can only use the base if the car has isofix so you won't know if a taxi does. And then you'd have to carry the base when you get to your destination. Just seat belt it in, I never bought a base for mine
