Sensitive skin

For the mommies w/ LO w/ sensitive skin. What are using for baby I currently use aquaphor baby wash its pretty good but want to try something different. Before we used the aquaphor we used the aveeno oatmeal wash but it seems like it was making his skin worse and he was experiencing a butt rash so we changed it to the aquaphor. Any other suggestions???

Honestly the best thing I’ve ever used was the Tubby Todd all over ointment. The reviews live up to the hype. I’ve tried countless organic brands and it’s definitely the best thing for her skin. I even notice that once I stopped using it the other products I tried made her get dry rashes. It’s a little on the pricier end but trust me when I say it’s worth it.

Use the Yuka app to scan your products to see if there are ingredients that are unnecessary and potentially aggravating your babies skin. The brands you mentioned are not skin friendly and have a lot of additives. Its SO hard because almost 99% of the crap on shelves aren't good for you. It's so deceiving. My babies rashes all cleared once we only used soap when necessary (after swimming, sweating, in a germy situation like a playgroup/museum, playing outside and getting dirty in the mud etc). Babyganics Scent Free Bubble Bath is clean and the bubbles in the bath are enough to wash her body with. I always follow up her bath with either organic coconut oil or calendula oil. We also use the tubby todd cream on her face right now because she had a contact rash from some sunscreen, the tubby todd ointment is a miracle worker!

@Myah I think it makes sense to not have it dry out in the first place. Usually using lots of baby wash is drying out their skin, so if you can minimize that as a first step, then try a body wash that keeps moisture in. I use cetaphil baby wash and shampoo with calendula for sensitive skin. It’s tear free and white/ creamy in the formulation. I put a small coin size amount on the head to foam and then take some of that foam and apply to the different body parts (hands, arms, armpits, between the legs, and feet). Don’t wash the face directly with the body wash, the shampoo will flow down the cheeks and clean it enough as is. Or just use only the warm water to wash gently with your hand. Point is use less soap, and rely more on warm water. For skin rashes it may be worth looking into the laundry detergent and get a gentle Baby one without too much chemicals and perfumes. It might also be another reason. Good luck! 🍀

We got the but rash finally under control thank God!! But I just wanted recommendations for bath soap but thats for the other recommendations I definitely will be keep those in my notes. Any specific brand of coconut oil??

@Myah Nutiva Virgin organic Coconut Oil for sure!

My daughter has eczema and we use Cerave lotion and body wash as well as prescription strength hydrocodone for the particularly red/itchy spots.

I use Earth Mama products and they’ve been so good to my daughter’s skin!
