Higher amniotic fluid level
Just wondering if anybody else has had an increased level of amniotic fluid picked up at 36 week scan? I was told mine is at 8.8cm today, when the ‘accepted levels’ are 2cm-8cm.
They initially said this could be gestational diabetes, an infection, or just simply how she is positioned today! However the accepted level was only recently reduced from 12cm to 8cm, all of babies other growth measurements are where they need to be (she’s on 50th percentile), and my GD test at Christmas was fine. So I declined the further diabetes tests and the test for the infection on this basis. Luckily my doctor was happy and agreed to bring my next scan forward slightly so only have to wait 2 weeks rather than 3, to see if the levels drop back down or not.
Has anyone had a similar experience at all? x

Had the exact same come up at my 36 week scan on Tuesday. Consultant wasn’t too concerned as baby’s checks were fine and growth is good (he’s on 70th centile). X
My mum had increased fluid. No problems at all, just her waters “broke” 4 times during her induction! But here I am age 29 and healthy 🤍😂 x
I had a scan at 36 weeks and my fluid level was 12. They’ve booked me in for an additional scan next week and then an induction if the level is still high. Trying not to worry too much x

At my 36 weeks scan on Monday mine increased to 8.5. December it was 6.5 January is was 7.4 now febuary 8.5 and they told me it’s raised slightly but not worried
