Yeah I’m the same as Tara. They say to test first thing so the HCG is more concentrated, but my evening ones are always darker 🤷🏼♀️. I try hold for 3-4 hours too. if you’ve got the cheap strips may be worth trying both and see what works best for you:
Yeah, that’s why I asked, I read a couple places people saying that the first P is not actually their darkest. I am 10 DPO today. I didn’t test this morning and I don’t know if I should just wait until at least 12 DPO and use my early response or if I should try that tonight.

My tests are always darkest in the evening, or with second morning urine but make sure you have a 3 hours hold if you’re testing early x
