I have my first consultant appointment tomorrow (referred to a consultant due to my booking in BMI) and not sure what to expect. Anyone else had to attend one of these appointments and can give some insight? Thanks!
I was referred for the same reason. My consultant was lovely! She talked through what the extra risks were (I'm also higher risk because of my age) and what they were doing to lower those risks. We talked about gestational diabetes (my test is this Tuesday) and why it's important to test for it. We discussed risks for pre-eclampsia and also what extra support they would put in place e.g. growth scans. I found it really helpful as a first-time mum.
