Post IUD
Hey yall. I got an IUD inserted like two weeks ago but I have been having what looks like a light period for the past almost two weeks. Anyone has had this before? I wanna know when it’s stopping. Im getting tired of it lol. Thanks

@Bree I got it done at 8weeks pp since the doctor said that was the best time to get it done since it wasn’t that closed yet. I am not in pain. I just have been bleeding for a while and im kind of over it. I call my drs office and they said it was normal but idk if its normal to bleed for so long. Its just very annoying to have to wear pads and stuff all the time 🥲
I had my IUD for a year and still had light bleeding every month but it only lasted 2-3 days I took it out after a year cause it was causing me really painful UTI’s
So I guess I should call my doctor about this then?. I’ve never had bleeding for this long, other than right after giving birth. Ugh. This is frustrating tbh

This is fairly normal as they push the iud through your closed cervix. However prolonged pain should not be happening you should speak to your doctor if that’s happening ❤️
