What types of books does she like? The Hate You Give is really good if you want a realistic drama. the Uglies Series is really good if she likes sci-fi/dystopian. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a beautiful historical coming of age novel. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is a hilarious comedic sci-fi novel. Shadow and Bone or Graceling are beautiful and exciting fantasy novels that start their respective series.
