@Alyssa I'm one of those people who loved having an implant! Nothing crazy happened and it was so much easier than having to remember a pill each day. Good luck and I hope your experience with it is as easy and painless as mine was! @Evelyn I definitely recommend the arm implant!!!
I’ve done pills previously but never consistent with because I hate pills. I just gave birth in January and decided to get the Liletta IUD, so I got it after I had my baby. I’ve had the more an iud with my last daughter who’s 6 and it last a while before I got it taken out and got pregnant with her. Now the Liletta is supposed to last for 8 years.
I'm getting an IUD placed at 6 week check. I'm terrible about remembering to take pills. I did great with my prenatal vitamins while pregnant but trying to remember to continue taking them while breastfeeding is proving difficult. I don't want to chance preventing a pregnancy on having to remember to take something every day. I had a good experience with the IUD I had prior to getting pregnant with this last baby.
My husband is getting the vasectomy lol
I’m skipping birth control for now… we’re going to have another and until then I’ll use the temperature app
I am no longer on any birth control. I have done the pills witch is great if you can remember to take them & not miss at all I was terrible at remembering. I also have had the implant it just goes under the skin in your arm & they do it right in the office good for 3 years & I did 2 rounds of that 6 years total I had 0 issues with it. It didn't change my mood, i never gained weight from it, it didn't make me psycho, i was still the same person. It didn't alter anything from me personally. I have read that it can, though & in that case Just remember that you can have it removed at any time if it does effect you in a negative way.The depo shot I have never done, but both my mother and sister had it and they gained tremendous amount of weight from it. My mom still to this day is trying to lose the weight that she gained when she was on it that and you have to go get poked I think every 3 months.
I’m on Nexaplon currently and my moods have been like a roller coaster but it’s a great birth control I don’t have to worry about getting the shot every 3 months or remind to take the pill everyday especially with a month old it’s less stress on me
I've done pills and the shot I'll never recommend the shot. Last week I finally had my doctor order the implant even though tiktok videos have me scared with its many horror stories I think it's safer than the iud and those 2 are supposed to be the most effective.
