Is there any hope?

I’ve been a SAHM for over five years now. I had graduated from my university and COVID hit, so I didn’t exactly land my dream job since nobody was hiring. Then I had my first child and with no help nor childcare I ended up staying at home. Two kids later I want to get back to work. I need success stories please!! I’m based in the US.

I can’t say from personal experience but definitely think you can get back to work. You May have to be something you’re over qualified to start with but Guess probably largely depends what you want to do! My mum was a SAHM from when I was born and then started applying for jobs when I was 16/17. She mainly had volunteer positions but that was more out of choice as she wanted something flexible. This is UK though Good luck!

I don’t have any good advice except to keep at it. The job market in the US feels like a numbers game right now. Did you see Googles Super Bowl ad? Think it’s such good inspiration for you: https://youtu.be/-7e6g11BJc0?si=KBSfFsbz3K1IgBnL

Thanks ladies. I always thought I’d be a working mom, never envisioned this. I am grateful to be there for my kids but I feel like I am starting to crave me time and some financial support..
