I use my bottle warmer every night because I formula feed, baby wrap has saved my sanity, baby delight bouncer is her favorite thing right now, boppy for tummy time- when I need to shower- and prepping for her bath. High contrast cards for tummy time. She’s not old enough for solids yet but I do plan on making own baby food but I plan on just using a regular little blender. Also a changing pad and diaper caddie has saved me for ngiht feedings and changing-I just lay the changing pad down on the bed and that way I don’t have to get out of bed at night- have some water bottles handy with the bottle warmer and a can of formula and have my own little set up that’s easy to move in the mornings
I think I'm just going to message you because my list is long and thorough and will take a few comments lol
My son did t care for the mama roo and would just stare at me when I put him in it lol he honestly preferred the little cheap bouncer. We got both of them from friends so it didn’t matter but i would buy a swing unless it was really good deal. We never used a bottle or wipe warmer we just warmed up milk in hot water in a mug from the sink. For solids save your money instead of buying the baby bullet just get a blender and a little steam basket and an ice cube tray and you can freeze the food you make and easily feed them. Also they are a little more pricey but we loved using the Velcro swaddles instead of the ones you wrap yourself so much easier in the middle of the night. If you plan to breastfeed and have larger breasts the my brest friend pillow is a life saver imo! We are also bought and additional cover as my son would spit up quite a bit.
Oh and I also second the Spectra S1 or S2 but you can get it for free through insurance!
I didn’t use or need any of those. No momoroo no wipe warmer no bottle warmer no baby bullet. We didn’t do purées we went straight to BLW, and anyway I already had a pot steamer and my own blender I don’t see the point of getting a baby-only product when I already have things that do essentially the same. Oh we did use cloth diapers and cloth wipes though- I swear by those. And because I dipped them in warm water in the flask, they were “warm wipes” so that’s why no need for wipes warmer. I’m also not one to use a swing, jumperoo or play pen. He spent most of his play time on the floor on the mat (and rolled and sat and crawled and stood early, BECAUSE he was always on the floor)
@Abby when the time comes, I definitely want to breastfeed if my body allows it. When my best friend was breastfeeding, we were constantly restocking ice packs and nipple butter. The ice packs were the only thing that helped her.
@Alyssa I nanny and we use the moby wrap, I absolutely love it! Whenever there’s deal, I always wanna buy it but haven’t pulled the triggered yet. We have my nephews old changing table and once we do get pregnant I plan on having that very close to the bed but I think a changing pad would be so much more beneficial. Thank you for that.
@Ryann 9/10 years ago, when I was babysitting my nephew daily the mamaroo was the ISH but you’re right, the cheap bouncers seem to have my niece more entertained now.
@Kellie I was looking for this opinion too. I firmly believe tummy time and play time on the floor is way more beneficial but if it comes down to it and I have nobody to watch the baby while I do dishes, homework (getting my next degree), or any other tasks then I want to know what’s the safest or most recommended option for my baby. I used to put the baby I nanny in a baby bjorn and she loved it. Hated the swing though, just wanna know every parents opinion!
1. Bassinet with wheels: I would take him around the house on it whenever he was a baby and it made my tasks much easier. 2. Enough bottles to last me 2 days and a formula pitcher: it sounds exaggerated but I would pump and add my breastmilk in the pitcher during the day and then fill up 12 bottles every night and put in the mini fridge in my bedroom. I would load all the dirty bottles in the first rack in the dishwasher and by morning they would all be dry. Breastmilk last up to 3 days and formula 24 hours in the fridge. 3. Bottle warmer was necessary because breastmilk gets really thick when is refrigerated. 4. Buy different brand on diapers and wipes so you can find your favorite and avoid wasting money if baby has allergies. My favorite diaper since newborn is Millie Moon and my favorite wipes is the Up and Up brand from Target. Since I decided to stick with those I shop in bulk whenever they do a sale online and I have a great stock.
5. Pack and Play for whenever baby is more active: allows me to take my shower anytime I want and mop my floors 6. A diaper bag pre packed in the car and one in the house. I also have a restaurant bag that I keep his favorite toys since we don’t use screens 7. HAVE A BEDTIME ROUTINE SINCE NEWBORN. They thrive on schedule and it will save your life in the future. 8. I had a little jumper and my son loved it. I only used in extreme days because it can cause delays in crawling and walking. 9. Baby chair that attaches on the dining table was much convenient than a high chair and taught my son how to respect the dining table and the dinnerware. 10. Have a stock of medicine, diaper rash cream so you don’t need to go crazy if you need them and its a snow day lol
I didnt use a wipe warmer and I used my own blender for baby food
For breastfeeding Boppy Pillow- saves your back and makes it so much more comfortable definitely a necessity zomme breast pump- covered by most insurance and I don’t think I would every get another one, it’s portable (for the most part you just don’t have to plug it in) and the suction feels a lot like a babies it really helped me with my milk supply Bottle Warmer- I loved the Philips Avent one but I would definitely get the momcozy one since I use glass bottles, it has a setting specifically for glass Philip Avent bottles- I swear by these bottles they’re 1000/10 not too many parts easy to clean they also have glass ones which I rly love but the plastic ones are just as good Humidifier-it’s so important especially if you have dry air, I didn’t realize how much it was needed till my baby had problems breathing from dry boogers/dry air Burlington for clothes target for washcloths/burp cloths Huggies for wipes (Mickey mouse simply clean ones are great and so are the natural care ones)
Also fisher price glow and grow 1000/10 recommend my newborn loves it and kicks the piano

@Ana Moore we had a pack n play for my nephew, I’d always wheel him with me to the bathroom or kitchen lol. This was a must on the list!
@Ana Moore what were your must haves in the diaper bags?
@Jaliyah I’ve read so many things about glass bottles and I plan to strictly only be using them so the momcozy bottle warmer seems like the best option for me. I am constantly at Ross, Marshall’s, Burlington, tj maxx looking for things. I just got the Lille dragonfly baby wrap for $20!
@Adri Diapers, diaper rash cream, wipes, hand sanitizer, disposable changing table sheets, bug spray, sunscreen (Im in Texas it gets wild in the summer) extra pacifier, bottle, a lightweight blanket, Tylenol, saline spray ( I always use after being in crowds), a change of clothes according to the weather and a identification card with personal details! Now that he is a toddler we carry much less but add toys and a snack lol
Oh yes I did love my glass bottles. I used Mason bottle brand. It changes over from a teat to a straw for when they start water as well so bottle turns into sippy cup, it’s great.
@Ana Moore perfect, thank you!
@Kellie omg love this, adding to my list.
The doona car seat
@Adri that’s a steal! keep hunting mama
If you plan on breastfeeding, a Haakaa has saved my life. I use it everyday! Spectra breast pump is amazing. Dr browns plastic pitcher is great. Earth mama nipple butter. I love my wipe warmer. It depends on who you ask about the wipe warmer but I use it everyday and she’s always so relaxed changing her diapers. I will be using a baby bullet or something similar to make her food when she’s old enough because I don’t want her eating processed foods that barely make nutrition standards.
