Not getting braxton hicks yet?

I’m 36W and so many people due around the same time as me are going on about all the braxton kicks they’ve been having for weeks. I’ve had some on and off mild cramping but I’ve not had any braxton hicks as far as I’m aware. Could this mean my body isn’t preparing yet so baby may come late?

I didn’t think I was having braxton hicks because they weren’t as other people had described them to me. It wasn’t until I went into labour and my contractions were all low down and felt like period cramps that I realised I had been having them for quite a while.

Some people don’t notice or feel their braxton hicks. Don’t worry. Baby isn’t late until 42 weeks and even then, they choose their birthday.
