100% the effect of social media. I don’t make that much homemade for my LO I have two older step children don’t have the time to slave away in the kitchen! I don’t understand how these people on social media have the time to spend cutting strawberry’s into flowers and making toast look like cartoon characters 😂

@Dani been wondering that myself. Mum guilt! I even swith from baby porridge to pouched breakfasts just to change it up. Not much to boil the kettle, but more to try coming up with something different at 8am!

My LO just has whatever I'm eating either as finger food or cut into small pieces that can't cut off his airways. Nothing extra (except cutting?), nothing special but perfectly yummy. Example: breakfast we had banana and rice crispies in whole milk, lunch was egg mayo and salad sandwich and dinner fish pie. Weaning is whatever you want it to be. It doesn't need to be specially cooked. It can be absolutely anything as its all about them trying different tastes and textures. Sounds to me like your doing an awesome job and your LO is getting lots of different tastes 💜

@Lucy been wondering about mayo- she loves egg and was thinking she might like egg mayo but haven't been sure if it's ok to give?

I asked my HV and she's said absolutely anything is fine except honey, swordfish and shark. Sugar and salt should not be added but is OK if natural or already in (for example stocks and sauces) reduced salt ones are obviously slightly better but they aren't 'bad'

Your doing amazing!! Defiantly the result of social media making you think you need to do more. Your LO has a better diet then me 😆 If your baby is happy and fed then that's great. It's all about letting them lead and learn. I BLW with both mine and the key thing is all food under 1 is for play/learning.

I do a lot of homemade stuff (just because I enjoy cooking) and he doesn’t eat any of it 😅 sounds like your LO is eating really well, I wouldn’t stress about it at all!

My baby don’t even eat, you’re all good! Haha!
