Private scan

So I’ve just been for a private scan I’m currently 33 weeks +4 and they’ve just told me that baby is measuring really small on the 3rd percentile. They said that as soon as I get home that I should contact triage to let them know about the matter. What do I do? Has anyone else had this problem? 🥲

There's no harm in just giving them a ring, how has the baby been measuring during your midwife appointments? The only thing they may do is refer you for a growth scan to check it themselves, they'll want to know where you've been for the scan too, the scans aren't super accurate so I wouldn't get yourself too worried 💚

Call triage and check with them. If baby has measured fine at every other scan it might be a poor measurement, they do happen xx Call triage and see what they say x

Scans can be so inaccurate, if your midwife is happy with your bump growth chart it’s unlikely there’s an issue. But best to pass on the information to triage as they’ve asked to be sure x

@Charlotte the last few appointments I’ve had with the midwife hasn’t had any concerns with baby in terms of measurements I have been noticing on the growth chart that baby has been measuring quite small but I only figured this out yesterday due to lack of knowledge of how the growth chart works 😅but thank you I appreciate it after everything yesterday I haven’t had any bad feelings about this

I called triage earlier and they said that due to me already having a scan last week I’d have to wait until next week when I see the midwife for her to determine whether I need another growth scan right away just to be on the safe side

Hopefully you’ll get some answers, as they will only scan every two weeks in this country so hopefully they will actually give you a scan next week

@Jade aw I hope everything works out okay! If your midwife was worried about her tracking small she probably would have referred you for a scan, I think as long as they're following along the same line it's okay 💚
