Advanced or normal formula?
My MIL kindly bought us 2 tubs of formula but she got us the advanced Aptamil and we use the regular.
I can’t seem to find much online about what the difference is other than something to do with vegetable fats and animal fats.
Anybody know what the difference is and if it would hurt to use them?

I used to use the normal Aptamil my son got very constipated by it I tried the Advanced as I’m combo feeding it’s amazing!! Never had an issue with the advanced one at all!
@Ona what made you change the formula? Is it constipation? I’m combi feeding too and we’re suffering from constipation but I’m not sure what the difference is between the two
My husband bought both just to see which one works for our son. The regular aptamil my son became gassy had to use infacol before his bottle. With the aptamil advanced we don't have any problems with it. Our son is 10 months now and we're still using aptamil advanced.

I didn’t realise for a while that there were different ones so accidentally switched between the two. I saw on the news this evening that all formula in the UK has to be ‘complete’ anyway so whether you bought the cheapest or most expensive formula, it would be fine!
