You don't have to do puree but just up the texture, think cottage pie etc. So smooth but with pieces. Banana strips, sweet potato wedges. I've also done crumpets but she did gag the second time. Just had to be brave that she could figure it out.

I started with toasts then broccoli, cauliflower, courgettes, apples, peaches carrots and pears. His 7months now so thinking of giving omelette and other baked/ cooked food

I BLW with both mine, the solid starts app is a great tool but another one is if you can squash it between your little finger and thumb then it's good to go, then as they get older and teeth start coming in you slowly move up fingers (abit like how you test steak to see how cooked it is)
I did a webinar with Baby Academy (free), which talks about BLW and gagging and choking, and that helped me to feel more confident x
I found toast was less scary to start with, as they just gum it and make it really soggy
