Flying with our three month old 🩵

Hi mama’s! We are flying to my home (Ireland) next week with bubs. Just looking for tips on flying with a baby to make our trip go as smoothly as possible. We are thinking of just bringing pram and car seat with adaptors as we have the cybex cloud t so it lies flat (along with our baby carrier) and we don’t plan on having Him in the pram much when we are there - but are SO worried about it getting damaged in the hold as we paid a lot for our travel system - does anyone have any advice for this? Thank you :)

Hi, so I’ve been travelling with my LB since he was 3 months and we always take our stroller and carseat to the gate( the carseat fits perfectly on the stroller so when they ask at check in I just say it’s a 2 piece stroller because if you say its a stroller and carseat they will want to check in the carseat with the extra large luggage). Otherwise if your flight is short try to bring as little with you on board as possible do nappy changes before and after unless it’s an emergency. Feed baby during take off and landing to avoid their ears popping, pacifier works the same, and at 3 months they will most likely sleep through the flight because of the engine noise(it’s like white noise). Also I put my LB in his carrier just before boarding so that I can just hand over the stroller without having to take him out in the cold and it’s so easy to get on and off the plane with him on me then in just carry my bag/s. Some people check in strollers and use the carrier but

I find carrying on me too long is too much of a strain on my back. It’s much easier to just push him around and not have to carry bags as I just put them on the stroller too! Hope this helps!

Just had our first flight with 3 month old and 3 yr old! We just used the sling for baby and didn’t bring stroller as we didn’t plan to use it much on holiday. Did have to check car seats for both as renting a car and put them in a soft car seat bag together with a bunch of jackets and nappies (helpful for packing and padding the stuff). Everything came out looking good so think it worked well and didn’t get bashed around too much
