C section wound

Does anyone know if a pharmacist will look at your c section wound that’s possibly infected? I’m 7 weeks pp and have had constant trouble with my wound. I think it may be infected again but don’t want to wait till Monday to get it checked🤦🏻‍♀️ wasn’t sure if a pharmacist would be much help?

You can try going to urgent care or see if your insurance provider has a 24/7 nurse line, or look at your hospital discharge papers to see if they have some things to look put for regard aftercare for your wound or signs of infection.

I’m 7 weeks as well. Idk if a pharmacist will do that, maybe try the ER or L&D if you can’t wait until Monday to see your doc

If you are in the UK ring 111 they will get you an out of hours appointment with a doctor x

A pharmacist can’t help but 111 will be able to get you an out of hours GP appointment

If it’s infected it will smell and pus will come out the color will be kinda yellowish. But for now clean it with hydrogen peroxide twice a day and keep the area dry ! Take ibuprofen for pain.

Go to the ER or urgent care

When mine was infected around 7 weeks with my first I went to the er. But you could possibly go to l&D or call your ob

@Ale yes! When mine was infected with my first i could smell the infection

@Rebekah wish they had that in the us

Pharmacists are least likely to look. They can’t diagnose! Urgent care, nurse visit, or see if you can get in with your provider

I would say try get into the doctors as soon as you can or the ER if you can get in I hope your ok

I am a pharmacist, and if someone came in to me I would definitely take a look and be able to refer on, same day, if necessary.

@Danielle that's a shame is there nothing similar?
