Definitely sounds like hunger to me… if they’re having trouble eating, maybe that’s why? But not sure why’d they suddenly would have trouble feeding. Also what do you mean by that? Like baby won’t latch, spitting out nipple? Or maybe they are throwing up or spitting up? Try to see what’s different or changed and maybe you can find the cause. Also if it continues you might want to call the pediatrician
My son cried like that when he was very young when he had quite a bit of gas. I know you said you’re trying to burp the baby. When my girl starts crying like that and I know she’s got gas. I will bounce her on my knee a little bit which usually moves the gas around enough to come out. Or bounce her on my shoulder a little bit as I’m walking through the house. I also agree with others about the milocan drops My sister used them for my niece because she was very colicky, and it helped a lot.
Swaddle for comfort, noise machine sit up and belly massages for digestion
If it’s gas, you can try Mylicon and a stomach massage. That helped my baby get her gas out earlier this week!
