Potty training

Fully naked! She was training in a day. Just 2 accidents during the process. Still diapers for naps and bedtime, and poop is still a challenge but I think the different position of pooping hurts her.

My little one has been poopy trained for a long time (probably around 12 months thanks to Elimination communication). Number 1 works when he is without a diaper, but when he has a diaper or training pants on he pees in them 🤦‍♀️

He is sort of potty trained. When we go out he knows he is getting daipers so he just pees and poops in them. But when home or at his grandparents he lets us know and goes in bathroom. We let him tell us he wanted to start using the bathroom, it happened a bit before 11months.

Wait until they are ready. What people don’t tell you is that kids will pretty much just get tired of wearing diapers and eventually want to use the potty. So if your first round of potty training doesn’t work out, or your second or third, don’t worry about it. Just keep trying and eventually they will get it. Cut yourself some slack. And your kid for that matter. They are just as anxious to be potty trained as you are to train them. Haha.

We attempted during a huge move/transition (learned our lesson— did not work so don’t recommend). So took a big break and am taking a Friday off work on 2/28 to have the 3 day weekend to fully commit to potty training our daughter. She’ll be 2.5 years old ish. She’s in daycare too so I know it’ll be an adjustment, not sure how it will go and we will still do diapers for naps and bed time.

My son is 2y4m and potty trained. Fully naked, potty in the livingroom, lots of liquids, and mini marshmallows and stickers for rewards. He was potty trained in about 3-4 days. He still has accident every now and then but that’s mostly cause he struggles with taking his underwear off on his own.

I started last week. I waited for him to show interest and he goes and sits on his little potty every time mommy goes to the bathroom, before and after nap and before bed and when he gets up in the morning.

I would wait until they are ready. we tried for awhile with my little girl then all of a sudden she woke up and decided she is going to use to potty for wee's and she is doing really well with it. we still haven't managed a poo on the potty yet though

He’s potty trained if he’s naked. He won’t pull down his underwear but will still go over to the potty
