POV - Parking scenario

Drove to the supermarket. Child bays were full so I parked well away from the shop next to a trolley bay. Knowing I had the car seat to get out, I parked tight to the trolley bay with plenty of free parking spaces nearby and car seat went in the trolley. Returning to my car, somebody had parked over the line next to my car. No space to walk through let alone get the car seat back in on either side. Thankfully, my partner was with me to stay with baby while I pulled the car out of the space. If I were alone, what would you do?

I’d have gone back in with the reg plate and asked them to do a shout out for them to move their car!

This happened to My friend and she had the car seat on the pram.. she was on her own and had cars parked either side of her! she had to take it off and literally put the baby (in the car seat) in the boot and roll the car forward!!

I hate the fact people just don’t use their brains sometimes. I don’t get why it’s so hard to just…park normally? I see so many people thinking ‘oh I’ll just pop in’ and then I’m stuck with baby

Baby in the front passenger seat, airbags off x

@Steph this. I’ve done this a few times. Usually followed by telling the (usually) sheepish person that comes to move their car to do better. Had the odd person get rude but I don’t care. Alone with a baby and young SEN child getting them both in the car safely requires space.
