The hormone that helps loosen the pelvis for labour affects the whole body and lasts for about a year or so after birth too. That can cause joint pain and for me I get some of my joints feel like they are sliding slightly out of place, especially in my wrists or elbows if I pick something up awkwardly. Asked my doctor about it after my first baby
My knees are awful! I think in part because I put on 18kg whilst pregnant and have a naturally slight frame so my knees were probably overwhelmed with the rapid weight gain 😄 but good to know its also a thing. My GP just referred me on for physio
Interesting to know it's not just me! Hope you all aren't in too much pain x
Yep here too!! I think as above it is probably to do with the weight gain too. When I wake up I’m like a glow stick cracking when I get out of bed it’s awful. On a nighttime especially is when the pain hits like my body has just had enough! Xx
@Amy a glow stick 🤣 I fully relate to this! I've been trying to explain the crackling noise when I walk up stairs and this is perfect 😄
I can barely cross my legs whilst breastfeeding without my right knee killing me! Never heard of this, so glad I’m not alone!
