i voted farro bc it’s more unique & it pairs so well w salmon but if i were gonna pick my personal fav i would say rice but i also actually love salmon with quinoa! i did have grilled salmon with basmati last night w a soy ginger glaze which was bomb!!! let us know what you pick 👀 🤤

lol well I went rice 🤣 I had some edamame and kale (I thought I had bok choy 😭 I was wrong) But I did a sesame garlic salmon with a lil soy glaze (mirin, oyster sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce) And the veggies had garlic, ginger, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha

What kind of couscous do you make? I've only had it once and it was a boxed kind and I wasn't a huge fan. It tasted alright but the texture was strange. I don't know if it was just that kind or if it's all like that 😅
@Rachel just the normal small grained one I’ll make it a few way but I like how easy and quick it is Sometimes I’ll carmelize some onion and do a bouillon cube and thyme and Worcestershire and liquid smoke and black pepper and pair it with roasted veggies and protein Sometimes I’ll do a sheet pan salmon meal with it and the broth is soy sauce ginger garlic sesame and a smidge of rice vinegar maybe a lil miso Sometimes I’ll just hit it with a bouillon cube and garlic and throw in some sautéed brussel sprouts and cauliflower and broccoli (small so you can get everything in one bite) But I used to make pearl couscous a lot because the texture is more like round orzo and it’s good in soup
@Asha hm yeah. I think the one I had must have been a small grain. It was almost like ground up and reminded me of oatmeal or something lol. I just Googled the pearls and they look pretty tasty.
@Rachel idk it’s like I like how it clumps up 🤣 it’s like not dry but it’s MOIST I’m a fan of couscous and I think the pairings and flavor matters Because my mom used to make whole wheat couscous with veggie broth (not bouillon.. broth) I hated it I can’t even remember what she paired it with I just remember HATING IT
Prawn and chorizo couscous is delish if you haven’t tried it! Unfortunately my son has a shellfish allergy so looks like I won’t be having it again for a very long time!😭
