Valentine's alerts

I think everything you go through --- is a learning experience. This Valentine's day - I saw countless Men waiting on---- long ass checkout lines to purchase flowers , candy, perfume, 3 feet Tall Cards , Gift cards , and teddy bears for the ladies in their life. The MEN were everywhere. From Walmart, whole foods, Dollar Tree, and even on the side of the road - at the street vendors selling gift baskets (selling out of their car trunks.) So if YOU did not get a gift. That is a red flag that is damn near smacking you in the face... Story time: (in my late teens) I had a live-in long term BOYFRIEND. My side dude texted me to meet him at the gas station near my house. I excused myself, I said I was going to---- the store. Anyways, my side dude was at the gas station with candy ,flowers and a teddy bear. He KNEW - I could not keep or bring that home with me. He still brought it. And still gave it to me. I took it. I thanked him and drove it to my best friend's house to give it to her. I went back home, like nothing ever happened. In my hands, the black n milds my boyfriend requested and a Arizona iced tea. Snuggled up under the gift my boyfriend got me. The moral of the story---- 1. I already know- I ain't shit for that. But I have changed - thanks to therapy. 2. A man's gonna do what he wants to do ... If he loves you he would have got you something.
