When did your incision area heal?

I’m 4 weeks postpartum today. Whenever I sit up without help, my incision area hurts like is very sore and uncomfortable. Even worse when holding my baby and I’m trying to sit up. Can anyone relate? When did this pain stop for you when you sat up? Also, is it normal for the incision to feel itchy? I can’t tell if it’s just from my pubes creating the feeling since they are growing out as I’m too scared to shave yet..

Felt exactly the same with pain and getting up etc… I’m 8weeks pp tomorrow and still get a niggle of pain if I’ve overdone it doing something.. keep ontop of painkillers like paracetamol and take an ibuprofen to help swelling too

Itching was totally normal too… it can also be your nerves knitting back together which gives the feeling of itching… if it is itchy then itch above the wound on your stomach

My baby will be a year this week and I still have pain sometimes. Not all the time but the other day I tried to pick him up out his stroller and idk if I did it funny or what but it actually brought me to tears.

Very normal to feel itchy! It’s just healing 🩵

Not sure how active you are, but it might be time start strengthening your pelvic floor and core muscles again! They recommend this pretty much from day 1 and it helps with healing, strengthening etc. Also scar massage I thin you can do from 4/5/6 weeks (don’t quote me on that) but that also helps to break down the scar tissue and smooth it out x

It’s because of the internal part. They literally rip you open the inside can take a bit longer to feel normal again. And you have to train your core muscles again not rn take your time to heal and once it starts feeling better then start light

I’m 12 weeks and it still hurts, obviously a lot less but it’s a process - it’s many layers and your body takes time to heal, it’s normal, the itchyness it’s it healing xx 🤍🤍

Over 2 years postpartum and mine keeps opening to this day
I have to have surgery again to try and fix it

We got cut open. That doesnt heal fast. Itll take a year or so

Mine took 15 weeks lol. I kept having problems with the insicon ripping and had to get it re stitched a few times , and i battled infections due to that. But i also had an emerg c section, and they had a hard time getting it to stay sutured. There wer ecomplications.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
