Travelling with a baby

Hey, first time mum here (due in august) I might be being incredibly naive but my plan is too take the baby travelling when it’s 3mo the old - start In Europe for 3 months then further a field ending up in NZ for a while. This is dependent on having a healthy baby etc. I’m asking for any tips or advice from people that have holiday’d / traveled with babies. Tips on good insurance, best flight times, places that are great to visit, places to avoid, any kit or brands to recommend….anything at all! My husband and I are used to travelling but will be adapting from now on 👶

We travelled early and fully recommend, you may want to wait until 16wk injections tho to keep baby up to date. At around 7/8 months, your little one may be too big for the bassinet, so just to keep in mind for the long flights. We flew back from Aus with our little boy on our lap because he couldn't fit. Buy local nappies and wipes, and maybe choose a formula (even just as emergency) that is a global brand so you have a high chance of being able to get it anywhere

@Lauren great advice, thanks

Yes definitely go for it don't wait the easiest time is young, so many memories and beautiful sensory experineces for baby, you can make an album of all the places and show them when they are bigger We started traveling with our baby when he was 6 months, never looked back We have a base but we travel alot. Next year we are buying land in Portugal to make animal rescue and homestead We travel this year to Wales, Portugal, Egypt, Malta and Turkey as main destinations ✨

We went travelling around Europe when the little one was 3 months, then went off to Korea and Japan when he was 7 months. Best time to travel before they start moving. Now when he runs everywhere it’s way harder taking the flights :(

Aww snap! Due in August and going to NZ in winter! 🥰
