Am I the only one with a child who gets so so upset, screams and cries real tears A LOT?
My mum friend, being completely well-meaning, has said that my daughter is high maintenance and is disregulated a lot. It’s made me feel really down and like there’s something wrong with me/my daughter.

Oh and just to add, this is also related to the temperament of the child. Some kids are way more agitated than others, some are more calm, similar to adults really.
Lol wait until they get older. My 3 year old has some mega tantrums that last 40 minutes or more. It's completely normal. They are figuring out how to deal with how they are feeling. Xx

I honestly thought this is quite common and age appropriate. I don't know that many toddlers besides my own, but I think it's the combo of not being able to express what they want easily even though they have a lot of things and wants going on. My son does that too, usually when he gets frustrated with a toy, when he wants to do something but can't (like pass under the clothes rack lol), when he doesn't like some food..etc etc. he won't always cry real tears, but he's definitely upset and screams.
