I've always just waiting till dr gave the go ahead I've done this with all 3 of my kids my 1st 2 got the go ahead at 4 months my 3rd got the go ahead at 6 months every baby is different so just be extremely careful!
As long as mamas could hold her head up and she’s sitting with assistance somewhat you’re doing fine mama🫶🏾💕 I started giving some tasters of fruit purées around the late 3 month stage
Heres a question @Allana Nikpouri why not change it up because lots of stuff they didnt know back then could've taken a whole bunch of us out as babies 💁🏾♀️ personally me and my spouse are raising our baby our way with bits and pieces of how we were raised because we recognized it was not perfect and there was room for improvement especially when you consider, "when you know better, you do better." Lots of those old school things have been debunked and it also has shown that we recognized we are individuals separate from our parents not just an outcome of their actions.
@Benet I had been feeding on demand and she drinks 10oz of formula at a time. The only things that I’m doing/did that is old school is… her umbilical cord stump got rubbing alcohol put around it to clean it and to dry it out quicker (fell off in 4 days). And feeding her solids now. We also don’t sterilize the bottles after every use.
@Allana Nikpouri hey if that works for you then keep at it.
My boy is 5 months he was born 5 weeks premature due to preclamsia and his pediatrician told us we could start foods at 4 months and we did and he's done great. We are all doing the best we can when it comes to parenting, there is no right way to do it, plenty of wrong ways. As long as your child/children are fed, growing, learning, thriving, loved and nurtured then how you and others parent shouldn't be judged even though it is the first thing most people do. Your doing a great job as a mom, keep it up. They grow way to fast.
