Car seat recommendations UK

Please can I have some advise on car seat recommendations? My nearly 18 month old is about to outgrow his car seat, I want to of course keep him rear facing as long as possible, however I don’t drive so I don’t really want an isofix base, is there any car seats that you can recommend that suits my needs please? I’m not as clued up about this topic as I should be

What centile is baby? There are plenty of options out there. What kind of car will it live in.

Centiles? Budget?

There are a couple of groups on facebook that have lots of advice on car seats. The bullet points are that Swedish plus tested car seats are the safest or those that test to an equivalent level such as joie. To get to a safe age to forward safe (ideally over 5) you need to know child’s percentiles, if they’re below 50th for height and weight one that rear faces up to 25kg would be sufficient, above you would need a 36kg seat. It’s best to buy from a car seat specialist (not somewhere like Halfords or smyths) as they will give you advice on installing the car seat and then getting a safe fit in the seat. Xx
