Small car with pram and car seat

Hi mammas, I’d like some advice on having a baby with a small car please. I’ve got a Hyundai i10 which is a five door and we’d rather not get a new car unless we absolutely have to. I’m looking at prams that fold up nice and compact but am I being too optimistic? Does anyone have any experience of babies in smaller cars? x

The best thing is to go to a pram shop and try them in the car x

We had a mamas and papas Airo, which was small enough for a mini boot. The yoyo would fit too. Both have soft bassinet type options rather than rigid ones that lift off

I’ve got an aygo so similar size. We’ve got a Nuna for my first and that worked out great - it’s a light travel system. Then for a double stroller - the baby jogger is tiny! I would’ve probably got a baby jogger for my first even now I know what I know- they have a single with a carry cot.

We have a Hyundai i10 too! We went for the maxi cosi cabriofix infant carrier. Haven’t tried it in the car yet but we checked the fit guide first and it said it would fit. We bought a second hand Joie pram on FB marketplace. I think it will fit in the boot but if not I was planning to put the bassinet part in the back beside the car seat. Or the frame collapsed on the floor before the other seat. Or in the front if I’m sat in the back beside the baby.
