Starting bigger solids

My 10 month old son has no interest in feeding himself or anything more then a thick puree. How how I go about getting him to eat better. I know he can eat them. I feed him some pancakes and other stiff like that. He takes 2-3 bites then gets pissed off. How do you transfer off of just purees

You are doing great mama! Give him 3 small pieces of something solid then give him his puree. Do this for every meal. That way he can try new things, get used to solids, and still get his fill from the puree. I would say he is doing well for 10 months. He will get used to eating solids as you keep offering and he keeps trying. 2-3 bites is great at this age!

It's just frustrating because before Christmas he got pneumonia and he was eating banana, avocado and other soft food. Now he won't

Swearing off of solids for awhile after being sick is normal. Don't push it. Kids go through feeding regressions like they do with sleep. He will get there. It's a back and forth process and it's a marathon, not a sprint.

@Melissa I never thought of it like that. Putting it that way makes me feel better about it
