Distraction techniques during meals

Does anyone use any distraction techniques during mealtimes e.g. screen time, toys, music etc so your toddler eats? I have a very fussy toddler and he seems to eat more when he's playing with something on his high chair such as a toy, otherwise he refuses to take more than 3 bites

I'm using screen time

Sometimes my little one likes us to sing nursery rhymes while he eats. Occasionally we've done a video call to relatives when he's needed coaxing to eat, but it was hit and miss whether it worked or not!

Screen time or playing nursery rhymes on Alexa.

We find a big distraction is pointing out things in the kitchen. Where is the microwave? Where is the fridge? Etc. But I know how you feel we have days like this too. For some reason my toddler eats her lunch etc better on the go in her pram or whatever! Xx

Bluey for us! Only thing she will sit and eat a whole meal to. She doesn’t really watch tv any other times!
