Stair gate
Hello, I'm looking for a stair gate but not sure if what I am looking for exists.
We ideally want a non trip one without the bar at the bottom but don't want to have to screw it to the wall. A retractable one would also be good but not 100% needed. Does anyone have any recommendations please. Thank you

We have a pressure one so no screws, and we placed it on the first step instead of at the top that way it becomes a non trip hazard even if it is a little lower because it's on the step
Retractable ones you have to screw to the wall and they are absolutely pointless. My son figured it out in 15 minutes. Pressure fit ones are the best if you don’t want to screw into wall but always have the bar at the bottom or else they wouldn’t work. Essentially what you’ve described is a unicorn gate and does not exist x
Whatever you get I don’t recommend cuggle it’s in the Argos. Two of ours have broken in the last year, we’re down to our last one and having to keep doors shut until we find a more reliable one
