Cleaning newborn

I just wipe down, front to back. I move his balls over and wipe down on each side then go down his butt! Then with a clean new one I wipe his whole front along his leg creases and just gently wipe down the tip & around then do a second go toward the back

When my little boys done a wee I use wipes when he’s done a poo I use wipes to clean it all off and then use a cotton pad with mustella cleansing water to make sure it’s really clean. I’ll also make sure the areas nice and dry before I put a nappy back on. When wiping I’ll go front to back, never go back over again with the same wipe to avoid contaminating x

Wipe the penis like you would a finger, never retract the foreskin and wipe as needed elsewhere. Does he had redness? Rash? Etc. or are you just worried x

@Rheanna yes he does have a bit of a nappy rash I’ve been putting tescos version of sudo cream on. I’m worried I haven’t cleaned it properly but the area is always clean? Maybe because I can’t ‘pat’ like you’re told to do I feel like I’ve hurt his skin

I feel like it's a damned if we do. Do you have Daktozin cream available to you? It's phenomenal stuff. Do you let him air it out for a few minutes after each change? Much nappy free time? 🙂

@Rheanna I don’t because he absolutely hates being naked, nappy changes and clothes changes. He’s 2 weeks old and screams the entire time until he’s dressed and back in my arms so I try to make the process as quick as I can for him!

My son was exactly the same! It's absolutely awful isn't it. I highly recommend nipping to your local pharmacy and seeing if you can get some Daktozin cream!

They do grow out of it I promise. My son is two now and is our resident nudist 😂

Sometimes it easier to bathe it off too. Lol. And for rash. I like natural ingredients so breasmilk mixed with Vaseline does the trick and it can clear up within a day
