Potty recommendations?
Looking at getting a potty to get my LO used to it (we’re not at the training stage yet). Any recommendations? I never knew there were so many different types. Are the ones that look like mini toilets worth it?

The Eric website is great for potty training advice. The bumbo potty looks really great, it transition to a little step and seat reducer. We just have a bog standard plain potty though and she has been sitting on it for a few months now with no problems.
We have a mini toilet one mg lg loves it we also have the my travel potty which we use downstairs plan on using it when we are out but again we are just getting familiar with the potty

I am currently reading a book called ‘Oh crap potty training’ by Jamie Glowack revised version. I haven’t started potty training yet but planning to follow her advice. One of the things she mentions in there is if you get a potty don’t get it out yet until you start the training because it takes away from the novelty and it becomes a toy. She recommends to start with ANY floor potty until they are confident and be a bit more independent to go on the big toilet (pushing trousers and pants down and climbing up the steps to get on the big potty seat while being able to hold the wee/poop) Not at all an expert but just thought I’d share what I’ve read so far.
