The oh crap method! You can get the book on eBay or kindle etc just followed it with my son and he's potty trained in 1 week! Day 7 we had zero accidents i can't believe how well it has worked x
We’ve had a potty around since he was walking so he’s been use to it for a while and enjoyed sitting in it with clothes on. We waited for him for him to be ready and he asked to wear big boy pants even then all morning he was having accidents. In the afternoon I gave him big bottle of juice and grapes half hour after he was acting funny so I sat him on the toilet told him to relax and he wee’d and loved it and haven’t looked back since. Poos were a bit more tricky but after a few days he got there. Lots of praise and over excitement with every wee and poo worked for us! X
Think thats pretty normal for day 1. I think my little girl was just truly ready as she only had one accident on day 1, couple of near misses few days after and at nursery shes only had around 3 accidents and now she has none and is fully day time trained. We started training new years day and started with nothing on bottom half for couple days, loose leggings for 2 days and then straight to knickers and shes been fine. Poos have been more difficult, only just now shes going on the potty/toilet without a fuss, since training shes been holding it 4 days at a time and making it so painful for her. Its got better now. Just keep going and dont go back to nappies now unless for night time, we dont even use nappies when going out. Just went for it and its been fine. Good luck xx
Not sure how but I think nursery played a part in teaching her to use is. She’s been potty trained for the last 5 months now
We followed this website to the letter and our daughter was pretty much fully trained in 3 days: https://busytoddler.com/potty-training/ I think the most important bit was the setting a timer for every 15 minutes and giving her lots of juice. I’ve no idea of the science behind it but it worked! Good luck :-) x
Ps. It was hard…we were pretty much locked down in the house for 72 hours…but it was worth it :-)
Struggling just now we got him a potty and said you sit on this and do the toilet he says no and put his toys in it instead 😭no progress yet
