Trying to be savvy??
Hi everyone. I’m going back to work part time (4 days a week) and need to decide which day to have off. Baby will be in nursery for 3 days a week and I can’t have Friday off (husband is off on Fridays and will do childcare on that day). Would it be savviest to have Mondays off? Because I heard on bank holidays you’d have to pay nursery fees anyway?!! Thoughts please!

Yeah agree Mondays would be savviest, I temporarily had Mondays off after my first and will be doing the same when I go back in August. Because as you say my nursery charges for bank holidays even though they are closed
I don’t work on Mondays and if you’re in a job where you don’t work BH’s, you get to claim any BH’s that land on a Monday in lieu as it’s a non working day for everyone so it gives me a few extra days of leave which is handy x
Yes to Mondays.
Check your nursery's policy, some of them require that at least one of the days is a Monday or Friday, to avoid exactly what you're thinking of doing and have all the kids Tue-Thu and less on Mon&Fri. If they're fine with it, get the Monday off
I have Mondays off for that exact reason!
