PPD and Anxiety

Even with therapy and meds, I am not coping well. Why aren't there more resources for postpartum anxiety and depression? Any suggestions on what to do? I'm an FTM to a 3-month-old.

Unfortunately us mothers are gaslit all the time when having symptoms of anxiety or depression because society (and the health system) believes that doesn’t exist, it’s just the stress of motherhood and we “should” be able to handle it. I think my only suggestions would be to find yourself a support system where you can take breaks and go out to focus on yourself

I’ve been experiencing PPD and anxiety for 10 months now, with ups and downs. If you like we can connect and a chat a little

Postpartum.net or PSI is a good resource to look into. They have support groups Did your doctor do a blood test to see if you’re deficient in anything? Check your vitamin D levels? Progesterone? Before prescribing meds? Also, what’s your day to day like? Are you having any alone time? Sleeping well? Stepping outside? Working out? All of these things also contribute to your mental health.
