What do I need to know?
Hey guys!
I am 13+4 weeks. I have just been told I have low Papp-A and whilst they explained what this means it’s gone in one ear and out the other as phone calls make me anxious.
They’ve prescribed me aspirin to take until 36 weeks.
What do I need to know? What complications may I have?
I am terrified to Google things as I don’t want horror stories, I just want to be well informed on risks.
Not a huge amount at this point. You have a slightly higher risk of smaller baby, pre term labour, preeclampsia but ultimately the risk is still small and lots of low Papp-a woman just have normal size healthy babies. You have some extra scans so they can keep an eye on growth and then if the baby shows signs of slowing down they will monitor as they go :)
