Normal poo?

Is this normal (only formula fed) 3 months old. He doesn't normally have anywhere near as big bits or as many bits usually quite runny and smooth so don't know whether to be concerned.

Have they eaten anything? Or just milk?

@Lauren no he only has formula and he's nearly 4 months old

How do you prep your bottles? Looks like it could possibly be undigested formula and/or a slight intolerance or allergy. The only time I’ve found bits in babies poo is when we put banana in her baby rice but it came out like black seeds rather than this light colour

Mainly use a prep machine, the odd instant one but I've always done that and never had this before. My first baby never had them like this either 😕

Yeah I wouldn't say it looks normal ... especially if this is new for him

Could be totally unrelated but when we used to use the prep machine it didn’t dissolve the formula properly because the hot shot wasn’t hot enough and my little girl was getting an upset stomach. We changed prep methods and all was well. But I also know they can develop allergies and intolerances at any time so possibly that? definitely worth consulting the doctor if it persists I think - hope this helps! X

What formula is your baby drinking? This looks like undigested milk fat if it’s Kendamil or aptamil advanced this would explain it

@Lauren aldi mamia. He's had it for a few weeks now and been in fine until this afternoon. Before that he had cow and gate and the normal aptamil and was fine with both. I haven't done anything different today than the last few weeks so confused

I’m not sure what that’s made from but if you google undigested milk fat in baby’s poo you’ll see similar pictures white/pale pebbles/curds I’ve always known to be milk fats it can just happen occasionally happens a lot in breastfed babies too

@Lauren yeah I just googled it and it does look just like that

Thought it might just help put your mind at rest because I know a few things have made me stay up at night with regards to my son if your still worried you can always ask your gp but I think it is pretty normal although only happens occasionally
