No I was not. My LO was diagnosed by a paediatrician at 8 weeks but now he is 12 months and the GP is saying she needs to review the special formula milk he has to have. I need to get some professional advice on what to do next. Do I try and give him cows milk? Do I start the milk ladder challenge? It is hard to know
@Mahbuba we went through the same with my daughter. My advice would be to start weaning him into oat/soya growing up milk at first instance. You can mix this with his current formula to slowly adjust so he doesn’t get an upset tummy. Although these milks are much better tasting than the CMPA formula’s so usually babies have no issue taking them. Tell your GP you’re going to wean him off slowly and therefore still need a supply of formula for a few weeks - that’s what we did and were granted a bit more time. Then once settled on that with no side effects start the milk ladder x
