CMPA re-introduction challenge

My 4mo has a suspected CMPA. We’ve just done the challenge week after 6 weeks of me going dairy free to see if she’s symptomatic. She was - colicky, loose poos, sick, obvious gastro discomfort etc - all after weeks of being fine. Just wondering how long it took other peoples babies to get it all out their system again? It’s been 3 full days since I went DF again and she’s still in some clear discomfort 😔

It can take up to 6 weeks for dairy to get out of yours and her system... remember even eating crackers or any baked goods with dairy in it still counts as dairy so I'd recommend checking every label very diligently. Good luck. I dealt with this with my son as well and he's now 11 months old and just a few days ago I decided to reintroduce some whole milk formula to his current formula he's been on since he was 6 weeks old and he has been perfectly fine! 💙🙏🏼

It takes 2 weeks for dairy to get out of your system and 4-6 weeks for your LO. My LO went dairy free at 4 months because her doctor didn’t believe that she had CMPA. I am giving my LO formula because I couldn’t trust myself that I might eat something that contains milk or medicine. By the time my LO gets closer to 1 year old. I would reintroduce dairy to her by doing dairy ladder. I wish you luck. 🙏
