So. Much. Singing and dancing. She loves it. Independent play is just a few minutes here and there at this point, but she loves mirrors, contrast cards are still super intriguing to her. We have the Lovevery play mat with the contrast tent and she’s obsessed with laying in it as I gently push on the sides so the polka dots move. She’s really interested in sitting up (assisted rn) so I position a little piano in front of her and she just goes to town on it. But I wouldn’t expect activities to entertain babies this young for more than a few minutes!
I had the same issue with my little one & ended up ordering her one those “crawling crabs” that went viral on social media. It helps keep my baby entertained during tummy time & in general
I put my little one on the boppy sitting and put all her toys around her, kind of just overwhelming her with activities, she tends to like the ones that light up so that buys me more time
When baby is home with me I switch activities about every 30 min to hour. Bouncy chair, floor time, reading a book together. We are a working family so weekends tend to have a lot of chores that we will do together while baby plays alone in the playpen or is in the room with us in a bouncer. Also, talking to baby and playing music has helped.
Sometimes they just need to be bored for little bit , I can walk with my baby and tell her everything what we are doing at home. Or just sitting and looking outside.
I sing. Lift in her in the air. Put her on my my legs while laying on my back with legs up and make sounds like she’s flying 😂. Sometimes I leave her to play independently. I talk to her or do the sounds and makes
